I started my career as a registered nurse in New Zealand before taking up illustration when I moved to the UK.
I am completely self-taught, and love colour and the sense of humour illustration brings. Sir Edwin Lutyens was my great, great uncle so maybe his sense of fun has come down through the genes!
My childhood in Kenya, before New Zealand, was the biggest inspiration for my artwork and wild animals were the first of many designs that I used to illustrate my personalised name pictures and clocks for children. The range now includes farmyard animals, tractors, dinosaurs, butterflies and fairies ...
I live in Somerset with my husband and we have 3 beautiful grown-up children.
My office/studio is at home but I do shows all over the country - from Burghley Horse Trails to Hampton Court Flower Show. I love to get out and meet my customers face to face and listen to what they want, and I try to do new designs regularly.
Apart from the Quartz clock mechanisms, everything is proudly British.
